Poly Culture and MGM Jointly Present the "Poly Culture MGM Charity Auction Gala"
On March 26th, the "Living Heritage: Poly Culture MGM Charity Auction Gala" was co-held by Poly Culture and MGM at the Grande Praça of MGM Macau. Liu Juncai, Vice President of Poly Group, and Pansy Ho Chiu-king, Chairman and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, attended the event.
Liu Juncai said that in 2023, Poly Culture and MGM reached a comprehensive cultural and artistic cooperation agreement to promote cultural exchanges between Macau Special Administrative Region and Chinese mainland. Taking this charity auction as an opportunity, both sides are committed to creating an international platform for cultural and artistic exchange, and showcasing to the world the unique charm of Chinese artworks and outstanding artists, so that more people can transcend time, space, and border to better understand and appreciate Chinese cultural treasures. This way, Chinese civilization can also be spread wider and farther by innovating on the basis of what has worked in the past.
Ms. Pansy Ho said that the charity auction reflects the cooperation commitment between MGM and Poly Culture. With Macau as the base, the two sides combine MGM's tourism and leisure resources with Poly's cultural and artistic advantages to bring high-quality cultural and artistic projects and experiences, injecting new vitality into the promotion of cultural inheritance. Through this auction, we hope to further promote cultural exchange and mutual learning, and to promote overseas China's glorious history and colorful traditional cultures.
As an important event before the opening of the Poly MGM Museum, this charity auction takes Chinese cultural heritage as its theme. Poly Culture and MGM jointly invite people from all walks of life who are enthusiastic about charity to select various art treasures and create a high-quality, high-grade, and international cultural feast. The charity auction raised nearly 12 million Hong Kong dollars to support the promotion of Chinese culture and art during the China-France Year of Culture and Tourism. The auction also featured a lion dance performance of "Lion Dance Sisters," a film produced and monitored by Poly, as well as diverse cultural performances such as Jingdezhen porcelain music, allowing participants to experience the profound charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage.
Going forward, Poly Culture will work with MGM to build a bridge of cultural exchange connecting Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau, continuously creating new cultural and artistic experiences, supporting the development of Macau's cultural industry, and helping Chinese excellent cultures go global.
